Jirka (Yirka) began his career in technology in his native Czech Republic, where he developed a strong foundation in both home and business computing. After moving to the United States in 1998, he continued honing his expertise with both PC and Apple systems, building a reputation for his technical skill and dedication to service.
In 2002, Jirka founded his own company—originally known as Computer Czech, LLC—in West Hollywood. Focused on delivering reliable IT solutions to local homes and businesses, he quickly became a trusted name in the community. His commitment to staying ahead in the ever-changing world of technology helped him build a loyal client base across Los Angeles and beyond.
Today, that company is known as Abacus IT—a full-service technology provider offering managed services, cybersecurity solutions, and IT support for businesses of all sizes. Under Jirka’s leadership, Abacus IT has grown into a bi-coastal operation with a talented team and a reputation for excellence, offering dependable service seven days a week.
Jirka remains deeply involved in the day-to-day operations of Abacus IT and continues to prioritize the evolving technology needs of every client the company serves.

Curtis has been in the customer service realm for over 10 years. He enjoys taking care of clients needs and being the person that the client can all on to resolve their issues. He enjoys working with people and helping them to succeed. After work Curtis enjoys spending time with his friends and family, going to sporting events, and spending time outside.
Marvis is an IT technician who loves what he does, striving to bring value through hard work and constantly seeking professional growth. Outside of work, he enjoys music and outdoor sports.

Phil has over 25 years experience in the technology field and over 20 years experience as a Senior Manager. Starting out in the technology industry as a Network Engineer, he has played a key part in almost every role in an Information Technology Department. During his tenure he has Developed optimized, and Managed IT teams across several industries.
Field Engineer
Garrett started his technical career in the field running electrical and low voltage wires in residential and business environments. Over the next 3 years he honed is knowledge and skills and became lead programmer for home automation and network troubleshooting. While Abacus frequently calls on Garrett’s expertise in cabling, we mostly rely on his hardware and software troubleshooting for our clients remotely and through his friendly onsite visits. When his face is not in front of a computer screen, Garrett enjoys exploring, travelling and enjoying good meal, preferably while simultaneously engaging in a good baseball game.
Junior Engineer
Divan, a skilled support engineer with 8 years of experience in various types of software, hardware, networking and management systems. Before joining Abacus IT, I honed my skills as an onsite engineer in the airline industry. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality moments with my family and indulging in some casual gaming. I also make it a point to keep up with the latest tech news to stay informed and inspired.
Professional Services Manager
John has been providing consulting and managed services supporting businesses technology needs in the: media and entertainment, energy, finance, legal, design and non-profit sectors for over 20 years. He is constantly looking for the most efficient, effective and elegant solution to every problem he faces. In his spare moments, John pursues creative endeavors, record shopping and training lions.
Office Administrator
I’m the Office Administrator and Accountant at Abacus IT, where I help keep things running smoothly behind the scenes—handling everything from financial records and payroll to day-to-day office tasks. I’ve got a background in accounting and experience working with non-profits, which taught me the value of being organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
This is my first time working in the IT world, and I’m really enjoying the challenge and the opportunity to keep learning and growing. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family. I have four kids—three still at home—so my days are often filled with sports practices, games, and cheering from the sidelines. When I get a little downtime, I love to read, and in the summer, we enjoy going camping together as a family.
Modise is a certified Network Engineer with extensive experience in designing and implementing networks as well as troubleshooting and optimizing their performance. Before joining Abacus IT he served as an on-site support team leader, enhancing leadership and technical skills while fostering collaborations.
When not immersed in the world of IT, you will often find him pedaling through scenic routes on his bicycle, diving into DIY carpentry projects, or cherishing precious moments with his family, whom he regards as his anchor in this fast-paced world.

Mike has spent his entire career in customer service and customer relations. He began in the automotive industry on the dealership-side and has shifted over to the IT world. Mike enjoys talking to people and helping them find the resolution they need. He is also a big outdoorsman, enjoying snowmobiling, golf, disc golf, and landscape photography.
Neo is a highly skilled IT Support Engineer with over 13 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT environments. He has successfully led mission-critical projects across various industries, consistently delivering on time and within budget. He is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including Microsoft-based systems and cloud services like AWS and Azure.
He is known for his problem-solving abilities, customer-centric approach, and commitment to staying at the forefront of IT advancements. He has a proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, ensuring business continuity and operational excellence.
When he’s not resolving IT challenges, he enjoys tinkering with the latest tech gadgets, playing chess, and exploring outdoor activities like hiking and spending time with his family. He believes that staying active and engaged in various hobbies helps him bring a fresh perspective to his work.
